English 11
Today was the first day of a short Autobiography unit that we will be doing before Spring Break.
We went over the unit outline and did an introductory activity. We then did personality tests and a writing assignment as the first journal entry for the unit. Journals will be collected at the beginning of next class.
You were asked to write two pages double spaced, using one or more of the following prompts:
To what extent do the results of the personality test describe your personality? Do you agree or disagree with the results?
How would you describe your personality? How would your friends and family describe your personality?
How does your personality influence the decisions you make in life?
Next class please bring an artefact that represents an influential person, place or moment in your past. Do a write up about the artefact in two sentences or less. You will need this to participate in class next day!

Today in class we finished the "Where Does Our Food Come From" activity. We will go over the worksheet and the questions next day.
We then moved on from Farming to look at Forestry, specifically the controversial logging debate in Clayoquot Sound, British Columbia. For homework you are to complete questions #1, 2, and 4 as well as the Western Cordillera and Intermountain Regions on your chart.
